Course Description: P3 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) Course
Our two-day (22 hour) Daylight/ Lowlight Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) course is designed for professionals seeking to elevate their proficiency in medium-range precision shooting with AR-15 style gas guns. Using calibers such as 5.56/.223, 6mm ARC, 6.5 Grendel, and others, participants will engage targets at distances ranging from 100 to 600 yards, and push out to 800 yards, shooter-dependent. The course will include both daytime and nighttime shooting to build competence and confidence under various conditions.
This course is structured around scientifically validated training methodologies and led by an instructor cadre of former special operations combat veteran snipers. Our goal is to drive student performance towards on-demand competence in meeting or exceeding the P3 DMR standards. Through the use of quantifiable data and performance tracking, students will receive individualized instruction that targets their specific developmental needs.
Students will engage targets using magnified optics with a minimum top-end of 6 power, but ideally 8+ power, all while shooting from supported positions such as prone, kneeling, and standing, as well as unsupported seated positions. The course of instruction will focus on practical applications of the designated marksman role, providing students with the skills needed to bridge the gap between typical 100 to 200 yard engagements and the extended ranges realistic for the DMR role.
