P3 On-Demand Performance - Long Range Precision Rifle Course (2-Day)

Course Overview:

The P3 On-Demand Performance Long Range Precision Rifle Course is a challenging, two-day program designed to test and refine your precision shooting skills under demanding, real-world conditions. The course covers ranges from 50 to 100 yards on hostage targets and 200 to 1,000 yards on partially and fully exposed targets. You will engage targets from prone, seated, kneeling, and standing positions, with all drills centered around strict on-demand performance standards that replicate real-world pressures.

This course is taught by Special Operations Sniper/Recon veterans and/or National Champion long-distance shooters, providing participants with top-tier instruction based on years of operational experience and competition success.

Course Curriculum:

Classroom Instruction:

• Equipment Selection: Learn how to select and optimize rifles, optics, and accessories for precision shooting at long ranges.

• External Ballistics: Understand the impact of environmental conditions, bullet aerodynamics, and ballistic coefficients on shot placement over varying distances.

• Foundational Marksmanship: Master the core principles of accurate shooting, including body position, breathing control, sight alignment, and trigger management.

• Hostage Engagement Considerations: Specialized instruction on precision shooting techniques for hostage situations, focusing on accuracy and split-second decision-making.

• Shooter/Spotter Techniques & Communication: Develop effective communication and coordination skills with a spotter to improve accuracy and target engagement.

Range Instruction:

• Short to Long-Range Engagements: Engage hostage targets at 50 to 100 yards and partially/fully exposed targets from 200 to 1,000 yards.

• Shooting Positions: Train in various shooting positions—prone, seated, kneeling, and standing—to adapt to diverse environments and conditions.

• On-Demand Performance Drills: Live-fire exercises that incorporate performance standards to test and improve your precision, speed, and judgment under stress.

On-Demand Performance Standards:

Throughout the course, shooters will be evaluated on their ability to meet rigorous performance standards that simulate real-world precision shooting challenges.

Required Equipment:

• Precision bolt-action rifle or AR10

• Magnified optic with at least 10x zoom

• 400 rounds of match-grade ammunition

• DOPE book (Data On Previous Engagements)

• Ballistic calculator (app or handheld)

• Ballistic Coefficient (BC) of match-grade ammo

• Sand sock/small shooting bag (2 sizes recommended)

Recommended Equipment:

• Spotting scope with tripod

• Shooting mat

• Shooting bags or sandbags
